Either the end that goes inot the monitor or the end that goes into the computer needs re-seating.

4. Thanks for the suggestion
I pull the cord, blew on it , and reseated it to no avail. For some reason the color adjustment on my monitor does not let me alter the blue hue. I am afraid its curtains for the monitor.

7. Did you check BOTH ends of the cable (if that's your case...)
My monitor cable is not hard-wired into the monitor, so it could come unseated from either the monitor or the computer.

8. My screen turns yellow now and then
and I just whack it upside the head once or twice and that "fixes" it, for a while anyway. It's pretty old really -- maybe 8 years. Just saving my pennies for an LCD monitor.
