1. dude, you should see a doctor |
|
sleep apnea is no joke. you're probably waking up way more often than you even realize. there are cases of patients waking up hundreds of times a night, quite literally.

it's kinda scary sometimes. i thought it was satan trying to demonically possess me, but it appears to have a simple biological basis.

Definitely worth getting looked at too, cause there are some excellent treatments.

isn't so bad d00d
I've used it for 10 years
and yeah, depressants tend to make sleep apnea worse
and SA is deadly as well over time, it can damage the heart and lead to congestive heart failure, and loss of sleep is responsible for many an accident as well

8. Yeah, sleep apnea..... |
|
no, I didn't do a sleep study. My husband timed the number of times I was waking up in a minute....sometimes as many as 5 times a minute. I would stop breathing and then wake up gasping. Of course I didn't remember it, just knew I was exhausted. My husband often wakes up during the night and/or gets up really early which is why he noticed my problem.
I hate hospitals and don't much like docs (long story) and have a $5,000 deductible on my insurance so I didn't do a sleep study. Of course, if the wedge pillow and breathe rite strips hadn't worked I wouldn't have had any choice but to do a sleep study.

9. You ought to talk to your doc |
|
about having at least a pulse ox machine checking your O2 sats,
I had a portable home study that costs a lot less as well
I'm just concerned that while you may be improved that your O2 sats may be falling at night anyway.
but that's just me
