1. After your first appointment |
|
Hey, these are your parents and I think they deserve to be told what's going on. I know if it was my kid, I'd want them to tell me. So hey, do the right thing and I'll pray for ya, how's that sound:bounce:

2. I need more information... |
|
Like, what's your maritial status; financial status; age of self; age of parents...
I made a mistake; I didn't tell my parents my girlfriend was pregnant until the day she delivered... (we are now married, and have 3 kids)... the estrangement was not worth it even though it only lasted 2 days.

Unless there are other factors, I think after your first ob/gyn appointment (when it's official) would be a good time.
I hope congratulations are in order, and may you and your child be well.

I don't mean to lay a guilt trip on you, but I only wish I had my parents still living to share this kind of good news with. Life is short. Include them in your life when you can. Once they are gone, you'll dearly wish that you COULD.

Though waiting until the baby is born could have it's own form of cool excitement. "Hey - mom - wondering if I could come over and show you something..."

9. Before you go home for your graduation party |
|
You might be tempted to do it at that time when they will be too busy to spend much time going nuts. But it will wreck your party if you wait until then and all you will have to remember your graduation by is pissing your parents off.
Considering their reaction last time, I think you have every right to see your doctor first and take some time to plan for your future. Whatever their reaction, some thoughtfulness and preparation on your part for the future will make you feel more confident and might calm some of their fears. After all, they only went nuts because they want you to be all you can be.
Take care of yourself and best wishes on the pregnancy.

10. Are you saying this is your SECOND unplanned pregnancy? |
|
Honey, you are using the WRONG birth control (I'm assuming that this wasn't planned). either way, you have to tell them.

14. tell them when you feel like it |
|
it's your life and not really there business and if they are going to give you grief I'd email them and then tell them you don't want to hear anything negative about it. Well that's just me.....good luck and most importantly listen to yourself . That's the most important thing be true to yourself. good luck!
