Repubs on DU
Alright, does anybody here think that we should allow the repugnicants to post here. I mean, c'mon, that would make this board so much more fun(not that it isn't already). I know I get pounded over the head everyday on the conservative website I post on, I just think it's time the situation was reversed. Anybody think this sounds like a good idea?

3. Not the first time this has been proposed... It got slapped down by
Skinner. The mods have a tough enough job as it is.

4. Or we could just play some sort of PM tag
Where the 'it' person has to post the dumbest shit they can think of, and then pick another random 'it' person.

If you're going to promote stupidity, there's plenty of it to go around already.

5. No
Welcome to the board, but we've had this discussion about a bazillion times before.
First and foremost, the administrators don't want that kind of board. Second, a lot of us come here to get away from just that sort of crap--if you want to discuss issues with conservatives, there is a wide world of 'net full of them.

7. It's bad enough we're subject to them everyday on mainstream media
and we do get disruptors here quite frequently. They should NOT be allowed here, period.

8. Actually I think it is an excellent idea!!
But I think there should be a Freeper room specifically set aside for this kind of discourse. Freepers would only be able to log into that one room and not bother the business of the other DU rooms.

I think exchanging views is beneficial to both sides as well as entertaining. I love debating with those on the other side of the political aisle at work.

Great suggestion!!

9. Yuck! We are confronted with republican dribble enough! Just watch
the news! I am sure we all have that family member or co-worker that tries to convert us too. No way, this is a refuge for like minded people to have honest debate and clarify ideas. Yuck, if I wanted more republican dribble, I would go to freeperland.

11. Hell no
They can spew their hatred and venom at their own message board. I don't want to come here to read how I'm a traitor because I oppose the war in Iraq. I think the quality of the discussions here would go down the toilet. We'd be responding to post after post slamming Hillary Clinton, and that just gets old fast.

14. If you rellly want to argue and rebuttal them
Find something you cant stand on FreeRebuplib or wherever, then write your own counter argument in say, the Editorials.

16. Only under two conditions
First, they cannot resort to their racist, name calling antics. One such display and they are gone.

Second, they must contribute money and instead of a star, they should get a swastika thus signifying their allegiance.

Just my humble opinion....

19. There are other sites that offer bi-partisan discussion
but DU should definitely be Democrat and allow people like me who lean Democrat and support Democratic policies to discuss. But opening it up to pro-Bush Republicans is an invitation for chaos and trouble.

20. Welcome to DU
Just so you know, questions about DU policies and procedures belong in the Ask the Administrators forum. Although to save you time I can also tell you it's not worth asking this question in there because the answer will be "no."

Thanks, locking.
