13. I've found that the complicatedness of my life has been directly related to
the number of keys on my keychain. When I had eight or ten, I was really miserable.

Now, I have two. One for my car, and one for the house. And life is good.

And that goes for other stuff, too. Mrs R has the "discount card" tags for the grocery store, Staples, and so on, but I refuse. I won't let my keychain complicate my life again.

56. "One key..." from Sex, Lies and Videotape
"No, it's just, I, you know, I just think - right now I have one key and everything I own is in the car, and I just... I like that, you know? I mean, I just, if I get an apartment, that's two keys, if I... get a job, you know, I might have to open or close, that's more keys, you know, buy some stuff, I'm afraid it's gonna get ripped off, or something, and I get more keys, and I just, I, you know, I just like having the one key, it's clean." -- Graham (James Spader)

and uncomplicated, i believe the key to making things better in my own life was relocating 3,000 miles away from my family and my husband's family. I'm a happy person, not perky or anything but in a good place mentally and physically.

c'mon now, my information would make your life simple and easy, Oprah can't touch that. She's tries, but all I'd have to do is come out on a show once and I'd blow away her entire lifetime of accomplishments.

Some people are stuck in boring jobs, terrible marriages, or are just inflexible and stagnant and they never really grow. Growth and change are needed more for many of us to be true to ourselves. Unfortunately, it's also pretty complicated.

62. Many times, the good stuff comes with the complications.

For instance, if you have kids, your life is probably more complicated than it would be if you didn't. Same with pets. Same with an S-O.

But the kids, pets, S-O, add so much to your life. If you get rid of them, you get rid of the complications, but also the good stuff they bring to your life.

(If they don't bring good stuff to your life, get rid of them. The S-O or pets, anyway.) :silly:
