I had my house painted. Look at the before & after!
We didn't choose the before colors--the people we bought it from did.

BEFORE

AFTER

Nevermind the plastic chairs in the yard (the painters put them there).

Plus, I need the shrubs trimmed back, but I waited for after the painters had knocked them around a bit.

:hi:

5. Yes, unfortunately it needed new paint and a new roof
at roughly the same time. We've been here 9 years.

Good thing we have an equity line!

6. Those old colors seemed more suited to a Victorian style
house, imho.

7. The tan color we picked was called "latte" on the color card
so we figured it was a liberal color. We laughed that "latte" was our pick when we got down to the final choices.

11. Thanks, 'pawkicker!
It was exciting to finally get a color on it that WE picked and not the previous owners. The pink and green combo was soooo . . . 80's?

13. Cool, thanks.
You can't see it in the pic (or not so much) but we wanted the ceiling of the porch to be painted a light blue sky color which is sort of a tradition on older houses, or so I read somewhere.
