Do you think this NFL weekend will be as good as last weekend?

Last weekend was non-stop nail biters one after another. The shootout in Kansas City where for the first time in any playoff game there were no punts! The double overtime thriller in St. Louis with the underdog Panthers winning the game on a game breaking touchdown! The third coldest football game ever, in New England with the Patriots winning by a nose over the Titans 17-14. Then Donovan McNabb leading his Eagles over the inspired Packers in overtime.

After that I thought of the excuse the NCAA gives for why they don't have a sanctioned championship game or a playoff system to determine who the National Champion is. Yeah that would be boring(DUH!! EARTH TO 'TARD).

I'm hoping Indy can pull it off, though I like the Patriots too. I think the media is hyping the weather too much.

No one is giving Carolina a chance other than me. They are a solid team, and Philadelphia hasn't looked too sharp lately. Maybe it's their destiny, though. Three times lucky?

2. Not with the Packers out - it's just not as interesting

I mean, who wants to watch football if it isn't the Packers? Certainly no one human, unless tehy're watching just out of pure interest. But there's no team left to root for, so, why bother? :-)

Though, on a more serious note, I think these will be exciting games. Good teams got in, so it should be some barn burners, adn we might actually end up with a really interesting and hopefully exciting Super Bowl!

They go odd and even as in how good they'll be.

-This year XXXVIII will be good.
-Next years XXXIX will be a lopsided, boring, blow out:(.


I find myself cheering against the Packers some of the time. I love the loyalty of their fans though.

I work with a bunch of obnoxious NE fans and they couldn't wait to pick on me on Monday. I got them though -- my dog died on Monday and no one was allowed to upset me all week! Without GB in, I don't much care. Sunday was the worst day ever, first GB, then the dog to the emergency room, within 13 hours, she was gone.

With the Cheesheads gone, Parcels playing gin rummey, the Beefaloes bledding like a stuck pig and the Ravens back in the rafters...

...we can concentrate on watching a real TEAM win another ice bowl.
