Worse, the local anesthetic didn't take all the way on my left toe, so I got to experience the procedure on that one with almost no pain reduction.

Fucking OW!!!

And the only painkiller I have is Advil. I just chugged 4 200mg tablets. Here's hoping that does something.

4. Watch for bleeding

with all that advil on board you have thinner blood so to speak.

The cauterization should stem the bleeding as well as kill the nail. Watch for bleeding though.

5. I'm not going to worry about my blood thinning.

I'm a big guy (6'2", 260) so it will probably take more Advil than I took to affect me to that point.
