A dumb question for a Nawlins resident
(BTW, did I spell that right?)

A long time ago, in a place far, far away.....

Well, far away for me, anyhow!

When I was down in NO back in 1989 (yes, a long time ago!) my friends and I went to the Jackson Brewery, and one of the things I remember was an "audience participation" of sorts among the vendors there--it was an enormous table in the middle of the floor, and I want to say they were making fudge. I can't remember a whole lot, though, but I did enjoy myself.

It was one of the quickest trips ever taken: I got there on Thursday night, pretty late, and only had two full days to be a tourist, and to be at the convention I was attending. We explored the French Quarter on Friday night, the Jackson Brewery on Friday, the Zoo on Saturday, and found a great little restaurant not far from the hotel that made superb strawberry waffles. We also got caught in the rain and suffered from such high humidity that I thought my lungs were going to explode.

I'd like to someday make the trip again, if I can ever manage to get together the money needed!
