Shit, my roomate's ex has gone in to freaky mode |
|
She just let me hear a phone message from him.
It was like three minutes long and he goes from "Why won't you pick up the phone?" To "I respect your decision" to "Fuck you, bitch." Like with in seconds numerous times in the conversation. She's very freaked now. I was just trying to calm her down. Hopefully it worked.
Looks like we may have a stalker.... this ain't good as he's quite large and if he ever came here lookin' for trouble I could never take him in a fight. It's a bit scary.

If you are really worried, maybe play the tape to lawyer and see if he (or she), thinks it's enough to get a restraining order.

4. Pepper spray and a baseball bat would work fine |
|
But if there's a serious danger, maybe let the cops know what's going on.

if he can take you don't ya think?
i think the possible restraining order is better if she is really freaked
lock your doors
or take it to his apartment if you think that pre-emptive is what works... see also the "preemptive war" against Iraq, a smashing success with preemption, eh?
of course this is wayyy different, and is sounds like a drunken dickhead to me, but restraining order at least gives you the option of having the d00d arrested if he comes near her or your place.

10. Prepositions and Conjunctions Aren't Capitalized |
|
Especially when you're using a proper noun, such as, "Smith and Wesson."
And tonight I'd start with a .38 revolver. Good in a pinch, reliable, and a moron can use one. Unless you've got kids at the house. Ever seen the statistics on kids and accidental gun deaths? Way higher, but that's another post. Training doesn't help, either, bcause fifteen year old boys are, by definition, total idiots.
Tomorrow move to the TPO, and get the mace just in case.

Many an intruder has soiled their shorts and left quickly when they here that distinctive shuck-SHUCK! of a shotgun being cycled from beyond they door they were trying to break through.
One lady scared off an intruder with a sponge mop while hiding in the kitchen closet. She 'pumped' the wringer handle on her sponge mop and the guy took off running! :-)
And they're cheaper than a S&W revolver and usually faster to get than a handgun. Plus, you can go non-lethal with beanbag rounds if you want to. You can get them via mail order.

13. You might not be able to take him... |
|
...but I would imagine that you and a crowbar might be able to?
Maybe you and a conveniently placed bottle?
Seriously, though - based on how you said, "she let (you) hear" the phone message, I'd say it sounds like she's scared enough to consider a restraining order a very serious possibility. That's probably the way to go.

Even though he's probably just blowing off steam, notify authorities in great detail. Bad things happen when threats are ignored, although the majority of threats are only bluster.

22. My brother's girlfriend went that way. |
|
Edited on Wed May-30-07 08:14 AM by Akoto
After he broke up with her, she would not leave him alone. She went so far as to have her friends call and harass him over how "terrible" he was, even though he'd behaved as a gentleman throughout their relationship, right down to buying her beautiful earrings he couldn't really afford. She even put his phone number up on MySpace.
It seems that things have finally stopped, fortunately. I think the threat of police action did it. Heh.
