Is it worth watching?

I hated season 1 of the show.

The show did become funny by season 3, which was made at the same time as the movie... Should I watch the movie or return it? (also, how crude is the Canada bashing?)

It's a fairly decent movie, but the musical numbers are what make it HILARIOUS!

Take "Kyle's Mom is a Bitch", for example:

Also, honorable mention must also go to the historically-challenged "What Would Brian Boytano Do?", as well.

After you've watched the movie, you may want to get the soundtrack CD too, it's really that good!

8. I think it's well worth it.

It makes some pretty crude bashes on Canada, but it's all in good humor. "They're not even a real country anyway..." is a lyric during one of the many musical numbers.

It feels like a movie, not just an extended normal episode. For one thing, it's practically a musical, and the south park guys show a great deal of skill in humor through music. It's also filled with more profanity than any other movie I can think of, but it's all good.

Watch it.

LOL I absolutely hate those 'popular' comedies as well. I think of it as "stupid comedy." The SNL pics, Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler. I'm so upset to see Ben Stiller taking this route too; I used to love his sketch comedy show on Fox, and it showed that he's a very talented guy (who does not need to do stupid comedy). When I'm stuck seeing one of these movies, I sit through them with a totally straight face, perhaps rolling my eyes on occasion.

I wonder if the popularity of these movies is somehow related to the fact that bush* is popular with a lot of people :shrug:
