I am totally flabbergasted |
|
About 4 years ago my fundie brother had a 25th wedding anniversary. His daughter threw he and his wife a party at her home, but apparently it came out that the partners of my 3 gay siblings were not welcome--and not because my niece didn't want them there but because my brother didn't want them there. It turned into a huge fight. I mean huge. My twin sister told me that she felt he died to her that day. Everyone still shows up to family gatherings, but it's just not the same.
Anyway, his youngest daughter is graduating from high school soon, and he just sent out party invitations (e-mail) and lo and behold, the partners are welcome.
Miracles do happen.

1. Maybe he learned something from the past incident and its results |

Hope the graduation goes well, and hopefully some hard feelings can be eased!

2. I hope he's had a true change of heart |

Family tensions really suck. Hell, if you can accept that he's a fundie, he should be able to accept that your siblings are gay.
