NOT to put down religions or religious people (I truly wish I could have faith) but people who won't accept evolution or that the world is more than a few thousand years old or that Man may not be the very image of God are scary to me. The fact that so many educated people in the richest most powerful country on the planet are thinking this way has taken away all my hope in the future. Holy Wars and massive over-consumption will take up most of humans' energy, time and money while our air and water are trashed beyond repair.

While I feel your pain, you have to admit that it's pretty hard to justify a situation where you had only 8,000 fans in a 60,000 seat stadium, and where an MLB club was being outdrawn by several IL and PCL clubs.

Not that DC should have been the new home. I would have preferred Buffalo or Louisville, two towns with long histories of drawing big crowds at the AAA level. If nothing else, they should have called the team the Washington Grays, in honor of the Homestead Grays, the Negro League team that shared Griffith Stadium with the hapless Senators.

would want them to stay and I'd hate anyone who moved them. I fully admit emotion trumps logic here, but I hate the people who moved them anyway. I followed the team for most of my life and still remember the thrill of seeing events like Ellis Valentine throwing out a guy at home from the warning track, or a Randy Johnson wild pitch in the days before he learned control.
