make social commentaries while being entertaining?

StarWars (namely the newer ones) makes a whimper of a commentary, but it along with the story is lame so it's not going to stick. The older ones were a bit less specific; generalized.

1. Do you mean political commentaries, or just social.......

ones, because most if not all fictional films make some sort of social commentary based on the point of view of the writer/director etc.

2. "Fight Club" was the best social commentary I've seen for a while.
