I don't care if he is a Scientologist, he's Isaac Hayes, dammit! And this song describes my life right now.

5. You're welcome! It took me years to track it down
Every now and then over the years, I'd hear a brief snatch of it on TV, and I was like, "WHAT IS THAT SONG? I LOVE IT!" (I grew up listening to top 40 and AOR, never listened to other stuff back in the day.) Finally, after years and years, I found out it was by none other than A#1: the Duke of New York. (Though it was actually written by Burt Bacharach.)

Hooverphonic used a lot of that song in a cool little tune called '2Wicky,' which is quite nice in its own right (though the lyrics are pretty banal).

Isaac is the man!
