1. Oh hell, no.
You don't want any of those dirty Staten Islanders coming out to Brooklyn. :P

8. That seems to be a common perception.
Staten Island is SO provincial according to most New Yorkers. :)

10. I'm so sure it's much quieter there now.

I graduated from college there so I raised a lot of hell along the way. It was great fun sailing out on the Rairitan bay in my little Tanbark Gaff Rigged Beetle Cat Boat.

13. SI could use a few more people raising a bit of hell.
It's often dead quiet out here. Wagner and CSI are not known for their adventuresome students. :)

24. Have you visited a little restaurant on Galesville Ct.?
It's just off of Lily Pond Road? The place is 50 years old with a Boccie Court out back. Their food and service is wonderful ~ old world Italian style.

25. No. I haven't.
My favorite family Italian restaurant recently closed when the grandfather retired. I should definitely check if that one is still there. :)

28. We all have senior moments.
:P

Next time you're up here, let me know if you want to (and have time to) meet somewhere and have dinner. It would be great to see you.

29. I would be nice to dine with you on a happier occasion. We were returning from L I.

My beloved mother-in-law suffered through a massive stroke on Mother's Day. The prognoses isn't good. After our visit with Trudy, we felt the need to stop for a bite before continuing another 130 miles northward to our home.

:) I'd love to see you again, ThomCat.

7. My dear lioness!
Of course you should!

He is soooo much fun in person......

I'd never hold the fact that he's from Staten Island against him!

9. I don't know that I'd call myself fun
but definitely talkative. :P

Pri's real challenge isn't going to be getting me to attend. If I can physically get there then I'll crash the meetup. :7

Her real challenge is getting other people to come out of their shells to attend.

Both my husband and myself enjoyed talking with you a lot!

Good luck to her!

but he's an interesting person to chat with. He seems very subdued, but he's got a lot of good things to say. :)

19. Staten Island is no problem. They have a ferry that runs to the main land.
I rode it once. That was in the 1980s. I hear about the rivalry between the various NYC burroughs and think, "And the distinction is what again?" NYC is an interesting place to see. Glad I don't live there. Makes me wonder how a person can have any real sense of unique identity or worth when there are 18 million people on Manhatten alone during the day.

26. The only thing wrong with Staten Island is that only the Kill van Kull separates it from Jersey.
