He is on his way to the airport as I write this. He has yet to pass his kidney stone. :( Here's hoping he doesn't have a horrific experience w/ vomiting and extreme pain at any point from now until his plane lands and he makes it safely home.

Hope he passes it soon! His team made the NBA finals and I know he wants to be well in time for that.

6. They didn't scan it ...

So they really don't know how big it is. Basically, the doctor at the ER said there is a 95% chance it will pass without problems - so they didn't want him to waste the money on a scan that may not be necessary or conclusive. Apparently there are sometimes problems even seeing them on a scan. He is going to make an appointment with his doctor when he gets home and follow up with it there.

Last I heard - a few hours ago - he was mostly still doing okay, and slept on the bus most of the way to the airport. He is on the airplane now, so incommunicado for another 2-3 hours. HOPEFULLY not writhing in pain and puking on the plane as we speak.

The flight was uneventful. Thank goodness for modern pharmaceuticals. :D

I'm trying to get scheduled with a urologist as I type.

I'm pretty much feeling ok; I just want this to end. x(
