1. Since 1988 and still counting!
Wait, I do trim the ends off when I braid my hair. Does that count?

2. I went nearly five years once (I'm a guy)
from the fall of 1999 to February 2004. It was halfway down my back. I cut almost all of it off and donated the ponytail to Locks of Love.

4. 2 years, i was growing out my hair color so i could get a really good look at
my actual color, so after 2 years i got it cut and went natural, that lasted for about 2 months. Now i'm back to the triple processing 4 hour salon appointments.

I HATE them. The wasted hours in that damned chair, not to mention the ridiculous price.

17. oh yes and my next "Touch up" is next week, you the worst thing besides the
ass numbingly long appt. is the fact that we have a pool that i avoid so it doesn't suck the color out my hair. I am the pool cleaner, not the pool user.

9. Not so long as it might have been, though
I never have the split ends trimmed, so it kinda
got to shoulder-blade length in about 2 years, then
just stayed there.

It's so thin these days, my only real haircut option
would be to shave it completely. Any sort of "normal"
haircut would make me look like I have mange.
You know, those guys who's hair looks OK from 15 feet
way, but then up close you can see their whole head
through it? *shudder*

Then I had the ends trimmed. It was close to three years between serious haircuts.

:hi: I think it was a year between haircuts at that point. I eventually HAD to get it cut because the split ends were horrible.

I was seeing how long I could grow it, which wasn't as pretty at 36 as it was at 16 :( So I got it cut but it's still long, now I'm gonna cut it 2 or 3 times a year.
I want to get my bangs cut like Feist's to hang over my eyes but I have to wait until after her concert because I'm scared to show up with my hair done just like in her videos, that would look SO DUMB

20. Over three years
Long hair complimented by big, bushy chops. I remember the day I shaved off the chops, it was my Dad's wedding day. My step-mom gave me an ultimatum, shave the side-burns or I'm out of the wedding photos. I relented and they haven't appeared since. The shag went away a few years later when I started workin' for the man. God, I miss my long hair. Head bangin' just isn't the same without it. *sigh

28. It has been over a year at this point
I'd like to get it trimmed soon, but not much more at this point. I'm 29 and this is my time to really try to have long beautiful hair. When I was a child, my mother kept making me have it chopped when it got below shoulder length and since then, I have taken the advice of people who knew nothing about my hair and had it cut more than I would have liked.

:hi: sweetie

I'm growing it again. It's been September since I got it cut, and it's starting to get long. It gets kind of messy, because it's wavy/curly, which also makes it seem not as long as it is.

43. a few months at the most...
i start looking like a shaggy dog by that point, and although i may leave the back alone (per Oktoberain's wishes usually), i have to keep the front out of my eyes.

I'm weird about my hair, and can't stand to use clips, bobby pins, barrettes, etc... in it, though i do use those elastic pony-tail ties all the time.
