Its official - kayaking tomorrow
Or semi-official. Drunken brother swears we are to be in the river by 10am. I haven't even started drinking yet. Guess I may need to start or my wake-time will be off.

Btw, its all easy peaceful floating in class1/class2max. That means beer and intentional yardsales.

Yay!

Does anyone here ever get out on the river in kayaks or canoes?

:headbang:

I'm still too novice to try anything serious, but I do enjoy spending the day on river chatting with all the folks doing the same.

he posts pics sometimes too. He's pretty hardcore. He can definitely fill you in.

I'm just a rec paddler, though it can get rough out there sometimes. Most of the time it looks like this (though this was on a day in the canoe, not a kayak)

26. I am pretty much an amateur
I don't make long trips; I mostly just get out for an hour or two, maybe take some pictures of birds or something.

It's still opened and so is the little store. West Jefferson is set up for walking tourist-types. There are quite a few these days.
