Poll question: Men: electric razor or wet razor? |
|
I ask, because many of us women are fascinated (in a not un-sexual way) with watching guys shave with a wet razor. There's even been a documentary on the matter (and it's quite good): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7018828514741173370&q=%22documentary+channel%22+shave

2. Definitely a wet razor. |
|
It's hard for me to get a close/comfortable shave with electricity...too many times I get the pleasant sensation of hairs getting yanked out!

4. Electric razors OK for a quick 5:00 shadow trim. |
|
Other than that, they suck. ALL of them.
Me? I exit the shower and rake a triple-bladed razor across my face. Thankfully, I have a soft beard, and don't need shaving cream.

5. I shave in the shower with a Gillette Sensor. |

I usually don't need any shaving cream, unless it's been several days.

My hubby used to be a wet razor guy, then he recntly switched to electric. He was tired of buying blades. I think he gets good results from it.

10. I use one of those razors with five blades on the front and one on the back. |
|
I thought all those blades were ridiculous -- until I shaved with it. Comfy!

I use the electric when I'm in a hurry, but it never gives me as close a shave as a wet razor.

15. Yup, me, too. Some days you don't have time for the wet razor |
|
And the electric will have to do. But I always look like I have a 5-o'clock shadow immediately after using the electric.
And Mrs. Common Sense DEFINITELY prefers the wet razor smooth.

I'd like to try it once, just to see what it's like.

I finally figured out the thing works fine, even on the neck, if I invest 30 seconds cleaning it after every use, instead of once a week or even less frequently.

19. Shaving is one area where I'm technology adverse |
|
I'm pretty fond of gadgets but I could never find an electric that did a good job and I gave up. I do fine with a regular razor so I see no need to "upgrade".

|
So, I will stick with a wet razor in the shower.
