that anyone is surprised at all that when one sets out to "punk" someone, and they get punked, that they react!

I got punked by the Writer's thread, I look back at it and say, good punk!

But at the time, as surreal as it seemed, and as unbelievable as it seemed, I felt like a friend was being attacked and I reacted.

Sue me, at that moment it wasn't funny to me.

I reserve the right to decide what I think is funny and I find it amazing that there are so many people lining up about this issue as if it really meant anything



Also, hindsight is 20/20, and frankly, I look back and it is well, not funny, but a good punk. I was faked the fuck out.

I guess I'd like it like this, if you want to call me stupid, or gullible, or whatever, for falling for it, pm me, and we'll talk.

but I figured it was because I did not know some other part of Lounge history.

I WAS posting at the time and just from what I know of Writer (and a little about GOPsux) I just did not believe that either of them would be serious about this.

Writer seems to me to be a person who thinks deeply about things and would not put some sordid story out there on the internet, especially when it was hurtful to someone else. Just didn't make sense.

Seemed like a joke to me from the get-go. I just wanted to play along and see what happened. Had no idea people would get all overwrought.

I did appreciate the pot/kettle comments (credit to Connonym) most of all. It was a great successful prank.

That all said. I don't think anyone is judging you at all. Don't take it so seriously. It will go down in the Lounge annals of great punks.

The pot/kettle folks are another kettle of fish altogether, lol...too many kettles in this story! But I DID get a chuckle out of them.

were extremely concerned about someone whom they perceived was being called out. Since that person did not appear in the thread, there was genuine concern about someone 'they' happen to like quite a bit. It was a leap a lot of people made, especially if one is unfamiliar with the OP author.

So, the 'pot/kettle' thing really doesn't apply. Interesting how it keeps coming up, though. Some folks have too much time on their hands.
