FYI: Men's Cargo Shorts from Old Navy are surprisingly comfortable!
Edited on Sat Jun-02-07 04:23 PM by bicentennial_baby
I hate girly shorts, so we went to Old Navy today and I got some men's Cargo Shorts. So comfortable! :bounce:

But, I also got a dress to even it out :P

:hi:

1. I'm wearing a pair right now.
Very comfortable, and "pre-wrinkled", to give them that lived-in look.

No dress, though. :P

3. I love Cargo shorts and pants.
Men's cargo shorts are cheaper and made better.

I love the extra pockets, never have enough pockets.

4. I wore cargo pants when I used to go raving
Raves tend to be hot sweaty affairs, and if you're dancing your ass off 'cause you're off your face on E you don't want heavy hot clothing. So, most ravers wore track suits, but I found cargo pants were a very good substitute. Even better, they had loads of pockets, so I could have my fags (cigarettes) in one pocket, wallet in another, keys in yet another, water bottle in another, etc. etc. etc.

No pictures exist of me at a rave with my shirt off blowing a whistle. :P

6. Billy Skank was going to be my DJ name
back when my ambition (about ten years ago) was to be a rave DJ. I only ever did one gig. I still have all my records at my mum's house; I go and make the odd CD now and then for old time's sake. :)

7. I forgot...there is ONE picture
This is me (right) and my friend Paul in Leicester about 8am one saturday morning. The club had finished an hour ago, but we were still high and didn't want to stop. So we did what any self respecting raver would do. We put on a CD in Paul's car and opened the trunk, which naturally had a bass bin inside it, and carried on dancing. :D

12. Yes. All three chains are owned by the Fisher family. They have

logging interests in California and own tracts of old growth forest which contain groves of California redwoods, which the family has expressed that they intend to clearcut. This has been going on for years, and, even though most of the remaining redwood groves in California are protected, what isn't protected cannot be protected from being clearcut.

14. Well, I'm not up on JCrew. But I could look into it.
But the Fisher family saga is one I've kept my eye on since the 80's. Look into them and their logging interests and practices. It will shock you. I think a lot of people don't know about them, but California environmentalists sure do. They have tried to keep the family tied up in the courts over the old growth logging issue.

10. I buy boys!
I buy boys shorts and active wear all the time (Old Navy, Target, Kohls). So much cheaper than women's! I go for girly a couple of nights per week, otherwise, I pretty much live in sweats and cargoes 90% of the time.
