First of the season from the farmers market. They are from SW Michigan. The farmer I purchased them had feared for their safety when they had 25 inches of late-season snow about a month ago.
They are wonderful and available for only such a short time.

1. My dear greatauntoftriplets! |

Yummy!
I know you will enjoy them...
We have strawberries at my farmer's market, but I haven't bought any...
I always come home with too many, and then they spoil...

2. I've had that happen, too, and it's so disappointing.... |

At the rate that I am eating this batch, they will be gone before they can spoil.

4. We just planted some in the back yard. |

It's been a couple of weeks, and no growth yet. Maybe by this time next year, I can brag about our home-grown organic strawberries.
The beans and tomatoes are looking good, however.
