Finally saw "Infamous" - the OTHER Capote movie.... |
|
Meh. It just didn't seem to gel.
Bigger cast, though: Signourney Weaver, Daniel Craig, Hope Davis, Jeff Daniels, Isabella Rosselini... but it just didn't seem to work. They should've canceled it when they found out that "Capote" was being made.

3. I thought the Capote/Perry Smith relationship was much deeper |
|
and more believeable in "Infamous" than in "Capote". Probably due to the fact that Daniel Craig is a much better actor than the actor who played Perry in "Capote". I found the relationship very touching in "Infamous" but wasn't really buying it in "Capote".
Overall, I thought "Capote" was a better film, but I thought Philip Seymour Hoffman was overrated.

4. I prefered it to "Capote", but I wish someone would make a film that... |

covers the years after his "banishment" after the publication of the early chapters of "Answered Prayers"
