We just saw "Shrek the Third" and loved it - why the criticism? |
|
It was just as cute as ever. We saw several metaphors for the Bush Maladministration in it. Where's the love??

1. I thought it was so-so... |
|
The first two episodes had a lot more in the way of character development and interaction between Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey. This one just had a different feel altogether - but I kinda liked Dreamworks' taken on the King Arthur legends.

2. I remember seeing the first one with my friend and his girlfriend and going "meh" |
|
And she savagely attacked me! Called me all kinds of names and said I was just a fucked up person who didn't know how to have fun.
It was a huge fight. And all over a stupid animated movie.
I didn't see either of the sequels, obviously.

3. That's pretty extreme - you do have the right to your own opinion! |

5. I don't know. She was a strange bird. |
|
It's not like I came outta there going, "Man! That sucked! I can't believe you guys caused me to waste all that time!"
I just didn't think it was the best thing since Citizen Kane.
She's one of those people who thinks that if you disagree with her, it's part of some agenda to make her feel bad.
Later on in the relationship she went totally neocon and my friend got out, thankfully.

7. Yeah, I didn't see the big deal with that one. |
|
I chuckled a couple of times, but that was about it. Certainly not the laugh fest it is billed as.

8. I do laugh my ass off at that one |
|
We all have different senses of humor - can't expect anyone to laugh at exactly the same things at exactly the same time.

9. The part where Matt Dillon is playing sports with all the retarded kids |
|
And he's all like in their face.
That made me laugh out loud.
And the part where Stiller picks up Harland Williams and he's trying to sell him on his 7 minute ab workout. I liked that part.
Those are the only two bits that I remember from the movie, really.
