Parrot owners - that 'baby' conure on sale at the big box store...
Reduced $100 in price.

Sun Conure.

10 months old.

Is very shy and will need a LOT of attention to make it human-happy.

I have no experience with birds that have lost their comfort around humans.

I live in an apartment... that alone probably disqualifies me... :(

1. A Sun Conure is one of the LOUDEST birds you will ever see.
If you live in an apartment, it's very likely not for you - unless the walls are brick or you like dealing with enraged neighbors.

A friend of mine had one years ago. He and his wife travelled for hours to pick him up from a breeder, and he was their pride and joy - a gorgeous, gorgeous bird, but unbelievably noisy, especially for such a small animal. Whenever they were out of sight, he would scream. They lived in an apartment too. Not for long.

I love bright-colored parrots, visually, but I can't imagine ever having one indoors, simply because of the noise.
