9. It's to benefit homeless veterans in NH |
|
"He has donated his famous sweater to Liberty House, a transitional shelter that is opening for homeless veterans in Manchester, New Hampshire. Liberty House is auctioning the sweater, and all proceeds of this auction will be paid directly to Liberty House. It will use the money to help homeless veterans get back on their feet. When fully operational, Liberty House will offer shelter and counseling for drug, alcohol and post-traumatic stress disorder issues."

That is a great idea to auction off the "hated" sweater....for CHARITY.
He has donated his famous sweater to Liberty House, a transitional shelter that is opening for homeless veterans in Manchester, New Hampshire. The proceeds will go to this shelter for Homeless Veterans. What a wonderful thing to do. Our Veterans need all the help they can get.

Good for Clark for having a sense of humor about it and donating the sweater to a charity. I hope the charity gets big bucks for it. :toast:

12. I'm thinking this could be a great populist campaign tactic |
|
From now on, he could wear a horrible item of clothing every now and again, always in a different state, then donate it to charity there.
It's certainly a novel approach, and he could turn the whole deal back on the critics. "You want to make fun of my wardrobe? I'll give you something to make fun of!!"
Actually I think this shows a lot about Clark's grace: he made an unfortunate clothing choice, he was criticized for it (as though it were really important what he WEARS for heaven's sake!), and had the grace to turn it around and help a worthy cause make some money. I think it's great.
