The only turn off with a car, in my humble opinion
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 09:30 AM by LynneSin
I don't care what someone drives although I would prefer something that is no oversized like the Hummer or Escalade. But to me, the biggest turn-off is a junkie car. Now I realize that for some folks that's all they can afford, but geez, if you can't take a bit of pride to clean up the old coke cans & mcdonalds bags and maybe clean the asstray out more than once every year, then I can't imagine what your real life is like.

I try to keep my car neat (but don't look in my trunk). I guess there is just something about a neat, clean car that impresses me!

1. Uh oh
My car was nice and clean until Haruka. Driving back and forth between VA and NJ has made my car a morass of loose cds, Starbucks cups, and empty food wrappers.

I'm a bit more lax on these rules for friends and sisters from another mother

3. Hey, junkies have to drive, too
Even if you don't like "junkie cars," try to have a little sympathy. It's hard to take pride in one's vehicle while you're suffering crippling withdrawal agonies and mind-shattering hallucinations, after all.

10. Reason #87 to use a bicycle
Even if you're a total slob it's impossible to leave trash in it, since there's no interior :)

11. What if your bicycle has a basket with it
Or you leave your bike out in the rain and it starts to rust

Where there is a will, there is a way

12. I'm secure in my masculinity but not that secure
Something about a bicycle basket would just feel wrong, even though I'm sure they're quite practical.

Rain's pretty rare on my bike. I buy a new bike every few years and keep the old one as a spare to ride when rain is in the forecast.

14. My car is a mess on the inside, and it has lichen growing on the outside.
I do wash the dust off the windshields when I drive it, but I always feel bad for the spiders who haven't built their webs to withstand the wind, or those living on parts of the car that get hot. I've always enjoyed that feeling of rusty brake disks the first few times I stop.

My bicycle is old, has some rust on it, and a basket too!

I make some effort not to look like a homeless person, but I don't see why I should care what my vehicles look like. Hey, I'm saving water! Yeah, that's it. (Nope, that's a lie.)

If I'm going to wash something, it's going to be the dogs, especially if they've rolled in something stinky. They are exceptionally happy when they smell like dead putrid squirrel or fresh horse poop, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

16. A messy car, like a messy wardrobe, ill-tailored clothed, unshined shoes or cluttered house,
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 02:17 PM by Rabrrrrrr
says either a) I don't care enough to care and I would make an absolutely horrible life partner, or b) I am an absolute genius who will probably win a Nobel, but I have no interest in focusing on the little details in my life, and would make an absolutely horrible life partner (though one with a Nobel cash prize).
