Is it hard to do? It is about 8 feet tall and has sliding draws and lots of extras.

7. I assembled one from Home Depot |

Wasn't as big as the one you describe. Mine has a dresser thing with 4 drawers, a shelf, and a double rod. It took about 4 hours maybe. I had to do some extra work because of where my studs are. But hey, I did it! Me!!! And it's so totally great. I just love it.

8. When assembling Ikea stuff |

think like a European, not like a short-attention-span American. It's not going to assemble itself, and it might require a tiny bit of creativity to get it to go together correctly. Keep at it!
Honestly I think Scandinavian directions are a cakewalk compared to Japanese directions. If you're an RC model builder, you'll understand.

Experience helps; I got my Nordnes (2.40m with sliding doors and drawers) assembled in just a little over three hours. Plus half an hour to get it anchored into the wall.
It's Lego for grown ups. Do it exactly as shown in the follow-me. Always think about where which part will end up in the completed work and be careful not to confuse front and back.

If my sister & I could put together my new cabinet thing around & including the sink, I have great faith that you can complete this project in no time.
Okay, maybe not in "no time." It did take a few/several hours, lots of 4-letter words & half a box of band-aids. But it looks fab-u-lous!
