actually the only reason I haven't fled is that I might have a chronic health condition now that needs insurance. And am young and un-connected and female and married.

The oil industry here and all satellite jobs are such freakin' boys clubs and the saddest betrayal is that many women, instead of mentoring you or giving you a hand up, just enable that culture at work and push you to "know your place" when you show initiative or desire to learn.

Yeah, it's gone way downhill lately. Turnover has spiked.

For our stellar morale and turnover rate, the HR manager....was recently promoted to vice president and gifted a company BMW.
