I share an office with a white women. Our boss (African AMerican) made hamburgers for a select few of coworkers.........

She sometimes seems astoiunded that I dont work on cars, know nothing about sheetwalling, hate climbing ladders and am scared of elecrticity. That I like classical music, work in afield that is 98% dominated by women and dont understand basketball.

30. well if there is a noticeable pattern of preferential treatment

on the part of the african american boss toward african american subordinates and if a "point" was made in this lunch exercise, i'd note it anyway and keep it for future reference.

this one "iffy" incident might not mean much, but you can add it to other incidents to prove a pattern.

if not for future litigation, then for negotiation during separation if you ever get fired.

it might not be racism or sexism, per se, but it is passive aggressive behavior that one can link in a chain of evidence to prove a hostile work environment.

It appears to be a case of favoritism.

If she can't bring the same lunch for everyone, then don't bring any at all.
