5. I hate working for companies that have a bored wife working there
One place I worked they called her the "Cost Control Manager"

She had her own large office and her job was to go around and collect the envelopes that everyone's paychecks came in to be re-used, to see if people had more than one pen or sticky note pad on their desks, give people so many pieces of paper for the copy machine and other stuff like that.

9. Not to pick on the wives
I hate their lazy kids or nephews that can't find a job anywhere else so the employees are expected to babysit and do their work for them.

8. She probably would have....
...but the bathrooms in the building were in the commons area for all the other offices to share. One time she saw a magic marker cap on the floor and gave the whole office, husband and partner included a fifteen minute lecture about waste. The total was eight on the clock employees wasting their time listening to her.
As far as the owner's....as long as she was occupied, pestering the employees instead of them they were happy.

10. I hate that too.
:grr: :nuke: The kids/wives/other relatives can't act worth a damn, and it's just embarrassing. I've never visited a business that uses that type of ads.

But pets.... yes indeed. :) The dogs and cats just have to look cute, which they do. :D

20. You wouldn't say that if you'd seen the ad
here in Charleston for a pawn shop with 2 yappy chihuahuas barking over the voice copy. It made you want to use those dogs for the purpose they were originally bred for.

Taco meat.

11. Hey, the Fashion Furniture girl
OD'd in a flophouse in New York.

So the simple lesson here is you're not doing anyone a favor, your kid included.

13. There's a local one here that shows a beautiful young lady, daughter of a car dealer, but her voice
sounds like fingernails on a blackboard. It's so annoying I either have to mute the TV or turn the station.

16. The Matt Mutt would get my business....
...if they used a real mutt. That one looks like a pampered old lady's pooch. Show me an ugly old mangy mutt shedding and scratching fleas all over the bed and you got my business.

19. The guys who do their own ads are bad enough
There are two of them out here who are like fingernails on a blackboard to me. Tom Shane, the Diamond King or whatever he calls himself who has a horrible voice and always sounds like he's speaking through a mouthful of mashed potatos and some dude named Hartzheim who owns auto dealerships - he always sounds like he's hammered - slurring and mumbling.

Strange advertising strategy.
