Why do they call events held at the Meadowlands "New York" events
I'm going to the Live Earth concert and on Live Earth's website they keep referring to the American concert as being in New York.

It isn't in New York, it's in New Jersey. Why New Jerseyeans allow folks to get away with this is beyond me. Either stand up for your state or just merge into New York (you could split the state in half and give the lower part of NJ to Pennsylvania)

1. They stole the Statue of Liberty too...
They just wish they could be as cool as NJ. I feel sorry for New Yorkers quite frankly :P

5. Before they built the Wachovia Center in Philly, the Sixers and Flyers almost went to NJ
And there were a slew of us Philly fans that swore we would not go to new Jersey if they moved our team out of state, even if it was across the river.

We got the lovely Wachovia Center out of it

6. well hell I wouldn't go into Camden either
and I'm as big as a NJ supporter as they get. I did go to a woman's soccer game at Rutgers Camden once and it was pretty neat being so close to the Ben Franklin Bridge

7. I've gone to the Tweeter for a few concerts
It's ok if you're there with a few thousand concert goers but I wouldn't want to go there by myself when there isn't anything going on at the venue

8. I know what you're saying...
I also did quite a few observation hours at Cooper Medical Center. Show up there on a Friday or Saturday night and you will see a whole new side of humanity...It was a great learning experience

9. There is a great view of the Manhattan skyline from there
no trees in the swamp, er, meadow lands to get in the way. Good view from 95, too.
