Before DU goes down, celebrate with me |

I had a breast biopsy (actually a full lumpectomy) and the results are benign!!! even if my boob looks like an extra in a Frankenstein movie. :toast: :bounce: :headbang: :woohoo:

I was very worried this time. I've had other lumps checked and removed but never was worried. This one was different from all the others so I was pretty nervous...fortunately, without need.

I went through that, and know how scary it can be, waiting for results (mine were benign too). I'm very happy for you! :pals:

12. congrats to you as well! |

it is a great relief as you know! There was never any breast cancer in my family, but my sister was diagnosed with a recurring type 2 years ago. We have bery similar health "issues" so when they found this lump and kept wanting to do more and more scans, ultrasounds etc..it made me a little nuts. I'm glad it's over. Just do yourself a favor and stay on top of it..get your mamograms on a regular basis.

18. they did all the "less invasive" ways first |
|
but when push comes to shove, the only real way is a tissue biopsy. It's a small price to pay and incisions do heal.

Definitely cause for celebration.
Your breast will heal up just fine, too, I know, without the aid of an angry mob equipped with pitchforks.
Excellent news!

My wife went through one of those last month...I can attest that waiting for the news can be excruciating, but worth it in the end.
