CRISS ANGEL: MINDFREAK - Season 3 debuts tonight on A&E |
|
And guess what? Criss started by performing a trick that ginbarn's been using to give Texan DUers nightmares. Now that is truly awesome.
At the end of tonight's episode, he's supposed to levitate above the lighted pyramid on top of the Luxor in Las Vegas. I love this guy.

1. I love that guy. Did you see last week when he went to that old hotel and |
|
conjured up the spirit of the little girl that was murdered?

3. I think I saw that episode a couple of months ago |
|
Don't remember a lot of the specifics, but he's never disappointed me yet.
I love the backstory behind the Luxor levitation. You've probably seen Criss levitate between two buildings in Vegas by now. I heard that one of his fellow magicians told him something like, "That was pretty darn good, Criss - but can you levitate from a platform while fully illuminated with a spotlight?" Which leads us to tonight's episode...

It's been a Criss Angel Marathon getting ready for tonight at our house.
My son is glued to the TV.
(I hate his haircut, btw.)

Did you see Criss levitating over the Luxor?!? No matter what sort of gimmick or setup he had for the trick, that was one immensely dangerous illusion Criss just pulled off.
Sweet mercy.
Has your son been able to pick his jaw up off the floor yet?
(And yes, I think I prefer Criss' hair a little bit longer, too.)

I think I liked the atrium even better, though.
Sometimes I think he goes a tad too far with the whole "suspense" thing.
Of course my son is trying to figure out how he did it. He has his theories. Now he's bugging me about trying escapes from the pool.

6. Escapes are hard enough to do on dry land... |
|
I have never performed an escape, but I am researching a basic escape that can look pretty complicated, but it's actually easy to do if you get the setup right. Please tell your son to bide his time and practice, practice, practice safely.
I've learned how a couple of basic levitations are performed (as well as one of Criss' first gee-whiz levitations), but both of the levitations he performed tonight are so far beyond the pale that I can't even think about the gimmicks and/or setup he used. The man's a genius.
