2. Nice stuff. Great mood.
Great harmonies, too.

"And they'd say my prayer on the radio...."

6. They are nice harmonies, but Keith was furious when he heard Mick's lead vocal...
he felt that Mick "necked it up" and was over-the-top campy

8. Some Girls was the summer soundtrack
the year I graduated High School.

We played it constantly...

9. Man, we have to be the same age...
because that was also my experience.
I had already been a long time Rolling Stones fan, but had little success convincing most of my stoner buddies of their greatness until "Some Girls" came out. They had always considered them to be some kind of old-fashioned act from a dim and distant past :)

11. Yes!
The first single I ever picked out as a very young child (that wasn't the theme song from "Flipper" or the "The Flintstones") was "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby?"
Hmmm...men dressed up like women playing racous music...I guess that was a formative influence on my taste.

A few years ago, my best friend played on a session with Bobby Keys and he told me that all he could think about the whole time was being a kid riding in his mom's station wagon while hearing "Brown Sugar" come out of the radio.
