Of course, I did post a copycat last night which went completely unnoticed (as usual). Oh, woe is me!

Every one of those threads feels like a kick in the gut just from having gone through all the tests and the hormones and getting all of our hopes up when she's late. I can't imagine what it feels like for somebody who's lived that. :hug:

Hormones, etc. etc. I managed to get pregnant, but lost the baby the day we found out (which was also my niece's 21st birthday, sadly enough). Nothing since then. My heart goes out to your friend - she's lucky to have an understanding friend like you in her life. :hug:

8. I love kids. Had two. Love my grandchildren

But, dear GOD there IS life without them. A nice, quiet life.

I used to be much more misty-eyed about kids. Now, as dearly as I love the grandkids, I see my daughter going nuts with them (two toddlers) and sometimes I question the pay off. Like everything in life, it is, I guess, a trade-off.

But I love coming home to a quiet house and having a cup of tea and watching whatever Star Trek we Tivo'd that day.
