There is a chair...
in my living room. My youngest cat loves to sleep on the back on it.

Unfortunately, she falls off it about once an hour. It's quite funny to watch. She's pretty, but not very coordinated. Jumping from the coffee table to the couch (about 14") takes her about 2 minutes to calculate the distance, trajectory and force required.

2. I don't get it...
she's just a klutz.

She could sleep on the seat of the chair and be perfectly safe. But nooo.... she wants to sleep on the back. If she's lucky, she falls into the seat, but half the time, she falls to the floor behind the chair.

Sigh... she's my special little girl.

3. Does she seem embarassed when she falls?
I ask, because once in awhile, my cats have klutz moments, and I swear, it embarasses the heck out of them!

5. She does the normal cat-embarrassment
thing of pretending she meant to do it all along, and just grooming herself.

8. It cracks me up, too
she also turns her back to me... probably because my laughter insults her.

9. Have you ever seen George Carlin's bit about cats and dogs?
It's hysterical, especially the part where he talks about cat's occasional klutziness, and how initially, they do the "I meant to do that" stuff, then sneak behind the couch and say, "Fucking meow!"

4. My cat is like that too.
I find it rather amusing when she falls off the back of my recliner or when she jumps into the window when she thinks it's open.

Thankfully she never gets hurt.
