You know why we have tolls - so the out-of-states can provide our state money so us Delawareans can enjoy TAX-FREE SHOPPING :woohoo:

And if you guys were nicer to me I'd tell you about the back roads that avoid the tolls - but no - you can all kiss my ass instead

Edited on Wed Jun-06-07 11:12 AM by kwassa
you blink a few times, and you've missed it!

That's the real reason the tolls are there; to prove that they exist.

21. Oh yeah? I'll just get a map and find my own back roads.
I avoid main roads as much as possible. I call them the "city route" and the "country route". So tell us something good about your state because I've never been there.

22. Is Delaware back open yet?
http://www.negotiatormagazine.com/article56_4.html

The Candid Camera people did a stunt to prove that a number of years ago -- you may remember seeing it on television. They posted a sign on a road next to a golf course in Delaware that said, "Delaware Closed." Allen Fount (sic) stood by the sign in a rented trooper's uniform. He wasn't allowed to speak to the people as they came up, only point up at the sign.

What happened amazed me. People were coming to a screeching halt and saying things like, "How long is it going to be closed for? My wife and kids are inside."

...the longest two weeks of my life was the weekend I spent in Newark. :hide:

on edit: and I just noticed someone else made a very similar observation ten posts up. Serves me right for not reading.

Actually, I spent longer than a weekend in Newark. I spent my eighth grade year at Wilmer E. Schue Middle School. Living hell, it was.

29. Jeez, I don't mind the tolls, but do they have to be both north and south bound?
I mean they got the bridge right

Delaware has better beaches than MD or VA......

Whosoever has a problem with Delaware needs bigger fish to fry.
