I can't believe none of you lounge idiots have never driven thru New Jersey!!
You can't run to the local corner liquor store without paying a damn toll when you're in New Jersey. They have expressways, parkways and toll roads all over the state. Hell the reason I went to maryland beaches was it was such a pain to slow down and toss in change in those polls all the time.

Delaware is hardly the damn toll king. Go to New Jersey, you'll understand the concept of toll hell

:hide:
(for calling everyone lounge idiots)

1. aw, look who's been drinking too much Delaware water...
plus, New Jersey provides a useful service (keeping Giants fans and Eagles fans separated) so we're happy to pay. Delaware is just, well, there.

23. I remember being 14 and driving through New Jersey with my family....
We were on the turnpike, heading towards New York. My father's car got a flat within sight of the city. It was about 99 degrees with humidity to match. Now, my father was a wonderful man, but rather inept when it came to anything mechanical. But he finally got the damn tire changed.

Now on the Illinois toll roads, they have rescue trucks that patrol the road looking for people who need mechanical help. Didn't see a damn one in New Jersey.

Happily, I have never slept in that state, though I did once spend a night in Newark, Delaware.

I'm wearing a silk dress with 3in spiked stilettos PLUS it's pouring down rain. Damn NJ police said they couldn't help me - assholes.

So in my silk dress, spiked heels and in the pouring rain I changed that tire but at the last minute one cop came over just to make sure it was on there tight.

The only tolls I hit now are when I use the 95 to go to NJ and use the Turnpike. Even then, it's only $3.10 from Exit 1 all the way to NONJ. And, if I go the other way because of 95 traffic, I have zero tolls.
