Places where you would never ever die?
I guess it would have to be the sewer. I want an open casket funeral and do not want the attendees to get grossed out.

3. In one of those port-a-potties you find on construction sites...
I've been in a few which, on a hot summer day, seemed quite capable of inducing the state of death. :puke:

8. LOL! Great Picture!
I worked on construction sites for 30 years. During the Summer, especially when they need "tending to", they were a location of last resort.

23. I'm going with non-viewing...
My instructions are that only my husband can view my body (and that's considering the condition of my corpse). Otherwise, useful body parts are to be removed and put to good use, then I'm to be cremated immediately, with no visitation at a funeral home. I do not want the funeral home vultures to get one penny more than that which they're entitled. Nor do I want my vulture in-laws viewing me. And I have specific instructions that my necrophiliac sis-in-law is not to come within 500 yards of my cold, dead body!

Further instructions are...a kick-ass memorial party in my honor. I want part of my ashes to be saved back to be mixed with my husband's, as he also wants to be cremated. The other part can be spread from the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.

26. neptune society

most places will want to embalm you so they can preserve you to be cremated with a group.

neptune society will keep you on ice after you've been harvested, then you can be cremated a la natural.

I know this because my mother was cremated by them and they were very helpful. Also less expensive than funeral homes because they don't embalm

28. I've looked into Neptune
Unfortunately each state has laws to protect the funeral industry...the trick is finding the loophole. For anyone who plans on dying, I recommend "The American Way of Death Revisited" by Jessica Mitford. She put death in a context which it deserves.
