Never before have I seen a show so intelligently written, with intertwining plot points, and moralplay that works WITH the story rather than simply preaching to a choir in a heavyhanded, pandering fashion.

The fascist subplot forming in the 3rd and 4th episodes along is worthy, but WOW...

I do know some of the actors were Repubs, but I'm not going to let that stop me from looking at something... :) The story arc is one might appreciate as well. The rise of fascism...

I've watched season 1 in order... haven't seen season 2 yet. Am seeing season 3, in order.

I haven't seen a story I haven't liked yet, and even ones I thought would be duds had some clever plot twists... or clever explanations for something we'd otherwise find trite...

The character intricacies and relationships are what make the whole thing work, however... :)

Are you watching them in order? I have the boxed sets.

6. Yes, and no...

I'ev seen all of season 1 some time ago.

Missed season 2.

Am doing S3 in order right now...

I'll probably watch S2 after that, in order, then get to S4 and S5 properly.

BTW: I LOVE the set designs and art seen in B5 - thx for the link!

9. Things really come to a head in Season 4

Last couple of episodes of S3 will also blow you away.

13. You REALLY need to see them all in order

As the overall story arc goes from episode to episode and you miss things that are foreshadowed in prior episodes. BSG took over this format most recently in SciFi.

7. Refa being assassinated while the gospel singer performs.

That scene just blew me away when I first saw it.

When it was on TV syndication in the 90's. Seasons 2-4 are the best.
