God, why am I watching this?
Animal Planet Heroes: Phoenix

it's about people who rescue animals. They're doing a segment now on three little puppies who were attacked by bees - three of their siblings and the mother were already dead. The owner was a homeless woman who didn't want to give up the remaining puppies for treatment.

now one pup is left alive.

1. Oh god.
I do that to myself, but then I can't watch anymore. What's awful is the influx of puppies and kittens due to the season in shelters. Hate it.

2. I'd never seen it before
was just flipping through channels and they were rescueing a cute little kitten from some plumbing it got stuck in. I thought "aww, this is a sweet show". Then they bring on the dead puppies!

4. Yikes.
Might need to take another V ---so sad.

You might have missed this MF, but my vet burned down 3 weeks ago and 12 animals died, mostly cats. I posted after it happened My old 15 year cat got her spleen removed the week before and was in there for 2 days. It was so sad---they had the resident cat that lived there she was so cute---I always gave her love when I went in there.

9. I felt bad for the folks in this one
one case was an obviously mentally ill old woman with 27 dogs. Then a stray kitten trapped in the plumbing. The owner of the dogs attacked by bees was a pregnant homeless woman who was obviously very distraught - it wasn't negligence that got the dogs stung.

The whole thing was sad - except for the kitten rescue. That was cute.
