You know how the anti-meat crowd likes to spew out (manipulated) stats about how much water a pound of meat "uses"?

Well I think I just used about 40 gallons trying to get a shitload of little tiny green aphidy things off two heads of lettuce. JEEBUS!

And before you tell be about free extra protien I gotta tell ya the little fuckers are BITTER!

I have something to say about rose campion. I appreciate it okay don't get my wrong.. blooms early, pretty leaves, whatever. But deadheading it takes a fucking hour. By the time it's finished and my back's breaking and my hand's cramped up new flowers are starting to die :|

it's a perennial I got a long time ago. I have three and it's too much.
The brown spots in the picture are old ones, I swear they open up & die in like an hour. I want to stay on top of cutting things but I might have to let this one go, it's stressing me out x(

It's good to vent, I guess I have to accept it. I have a love/hate thing with rose campion.

why can't you just let the spent ones hang for while? Does that make it stop blooming? (maybe that is what you need?)

Lettuce needs cold weather to sweeten up. Might be too late. Definitely too late in FL where I am.
