How long has it been since you were last arrested? |
|
And traffic citations (even though they are technically arrests) don't count.
It's been nine years for me. Nine long years.

|
That's how long. What can I say? I sold 2 oz of pot to my best friend and she turned me in. No kidding.
I was 19. I spent 4 days in jail cause my bond was $50,000. They finally lowered it to $5,000 and I got out. Charge was lowered to a misdeanor and I never broke the law again. :)

A buddy and I F'd up the local golf course when we were in high school. No real reason for it, we were just drunk and bored. I did a lot of illegal stuff back then so when the cops called and said they wanted to speak to me I freaked out because I had no idea what exactly they wanted me for.
Luckily, it was just a misdemeanor.

2003-Iraq War protest that turned ugly.
The police made one of their, "I'm declaring this an illegal assembly. If you do not leave, you will be arrested" speeches. Well, I didn't leave. Spent about 8 hours in a cell and they let me go. Then later the D.A. dropped all charged against a whole bunch of antiwar protesters and the matter was closed. Never even had to go to court.

16. Never, though I was "interviewed" once in Ohio |
|
I was selling books door to door to earn tuition money. Some couple accused me of stealing a twenty from the top of their fridge, which I didn't. Even had I wanted to, I never would have had opportunity to do so. Got picked up in a cruiser and got interviewed. I was instructed to reverse the sale, which I did, in person.
My guess is one of the kids took the twenty. Who the hell leaves leaves twenty dollar bills on the top of their fridges anyway? Thirty years later and I'm still steaming over that false accusation.

But I was with my best friend and my ex at the time when they both got arrested for outstanding warrants after being pulled over for a burned out tail light. The cop asked me if I wanted to go to jail with my friends or drive the car home. I know he was joking, but I didn't think it was funny; I just watched my best friend get handcuffed! My best friend thought it was funny. :eyes: She later told me she had to laugh to keep from crying. I got them out a couple hours later only to hear about my someone trying to steal my best friend's socks when she went to the bathroom.

I was 15, and was accused of sending threatening letters to my then 17-year-old girlfriend. When they hauled me in, I knew immediately who had been doing this - her ex. I was cleared of all wrongdoing, and "discussed" the matter personally with her ex; there were no more problems after that.
