1. I try to avoid
all Paris Hilton threads, but the "return to jail" in your subject line intrigued me. She SHOULD go back to jail. Why should she get preferential treatment. I heard her medical illness was a rash! Ha! What a joke!

5. Shouldn't they be filming this for "The Simple LIfe"?
They could trump up drug charges or something on Nicole and they could be cellmates. We can watch them make a shiv from their sunglasses.

Okay, the LASD can't just decode to let someone out, can they? Wouldn't the Court have to okay it?

15. Sheriff Baca released her over the protests of the sentencing judge.
And the judge is PISSED. So is the county prosecutor, Rocky Delgadillo. I'd LOVE to be able to sit in on this hearing today.

17. I don't live very far from her--$&*%#ing helicopters woke me up at 5:30 today.
There've been 4 or 5 circling overhead all morning long, hoping (apparently) to get film of her leaving with a sheriff's escort for today's hearing. Her immediate neighbors are NOT happy; one of them was on the local news last night holding up a huge sign that said "PARIS SUCKS." Apparently, he's seen her video. :7

12. Oooh oooh ooh another cavity search???
Mark Gerragos (Jackos lawyer) was on Larry King last night saying that usually in LA County if you turn yourself in they process you and let you go home seems they are some unbelieveable amount of overcrowded. Mostly, I think, from that ever so successful "war on drugs"

19. I don't really care for Martha Stewart, but
at least this 60ish woman stepped up and did her time with as much dignity as she could muster up. Paris, in her early 20's wimped out. Her life is ruined. She will always be known as a spoiled little brat with no morals or dignity.

It's only three weeks little girl. You'll live. But this getting out early think is doing nothing for her reputation. It only makes her look like more of a spoiled, whiny brat, who thinks she's above everything.

Angry Judge Orders Sheriff To Pick Up Paris, Phone Appearance Pulled
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 8, 2007) -- After being told she could attend a court hearing today over her early jail release by phone, an L.A. Superior Court judge has demanded the heiress head downtown. According to our reporters on the scene, the judge has just ordered the sheriff to pick Paris up and bring her to court. She will be traveling in a sedan.

Originally Hilton was ordered to report to court at 9 a.m. The judge signed an order for deputies to bring her in a sheriff's vehicle from her Hollywood Hills home, said Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini.

On Friday morning, Parachini said Hilton would be allowed to take part in the hearing by telephone. That was reversed at 8:50 a.m. when the Judge ordered her to come in and sent the sheriff to pick her up.

27. I was having a hard time understanding her inability to serve out even a week
I thought of all the great books I'd take along if I was going to jail. Then I thought of Paris actually trying to read a book. And then I started giggling uncontrollably.

She has nothing inside her, nothing to sustain her. Her entire world is external. If she ever gets stuck in an elevator, she'll come unglued in less than three hours unless there's a photographer stuck in there with her.

really.

"nothing inside her, nothing to sustain her...."

I really had NEVER thought there were people like that but that really makes perfect sense.

"her entire world is external..."

35. It's an interesting story
Seeing how someone so empty inside responds to incarceration, which must be like sensory deprivation to her mind. God, I even felt a pang of empathy as they hauled her away screaming. I can sympathize with her pain even though I think she's a ridiculous twit. But it occurs to me that she is so unlike me that I can barely comprehend what all this is like to her. So that makes it interesting to me. I shudder to think how long I would last if I was so utterly without internal resources for protection and fortitude and self-amusement. It's almost like she's developmentally disabled, as though part of her psyche is malformed. Maybe she'll develop part of the apparatus she lacks.

Ah well, armchair analysis is cheap, heh.

Paris Standoff -- Sheriff vs. Judge
Posted Jun 8th 2007 1:08PM by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned the reason Paris Hilton stayed at home while the lawyers and judge sat in court is because the Sheriff's Department refused to pick her up.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Sheriff's position is that the judge does not have the power to order her to court. The Sheriffs believe they have sole jurisdiction to monitor and control Hilton while she is under house arrest.

The Sheriff's Department says they are the only ones authorized to take her anywhere. Thus, the standoff in court.

The issue may have been resolved, but that is why the hearing was delayed this morning.

Paris -- Handcuffed and Tossed Into Cruiser!
Posted Jun 8th 2007 1:10PM by TMZ Staff

With her hands locked behind her back in a pair of steel handcuffs, Paris Hilton was thrown into the back of a Sheriff's cruiser and is on the way to a courtroom in downtown Los Angeles.

The besieged heiress faced a wall of paparazzi as she made her way down from her West Hollywood home, as news helicopters hovered above her home.

Hilton's ride down the Hollywood Freeway promises to be spectacular!
