what's the proper angle to take a digital photo of yourself to best hide superfluous chinnage? |
i'd like to capture what's left of the angularity of my facial features so i don't look like a congealed blob when i post a pic here.

1. Shooting yourself? Good luck! |
I'd suggest getting a friend to help, and experiment. If you look at professional head shots of less-than-lanky people you will see that they do sometimes use head and body angle skillfully to highlight jaw lines and cheekbones that might otherwise be more difficult to discern.

6. Lift your chin, and don't use a wide-angle lens |
which will broaden your face.
Safest: have someone else take your pic, shoot lots and lots them, take the one that looks good.
