Cops Break Into Wrong Home - Kick Husband In The Groin
<snip>

Annapolis narcotics officers hit the wrong apartment last night while serving a search and seizure warrant, terrorizing the four tenants and damaging their home.

With rifles in hand, police forcibly entered the apartment at 905 Primrose Road at 8:20 p.m. while a couple was fixing dinner. The other two tenants were at the grocery store.

According to police reports, a woman in the apartment barricaded a bedroom door with her body as about 15 officers burst through the front door. The tenants are natives of El Salvador and spoke little English.

The Annapolis Special Emergency Team then used what was described as a noise flash device and were able to enter the bedroom.

The woman, identified by police as Silvia Bernal, 30, said police never identified themselves and kicked her husband in the groin and pushed her to the ground before handcuffing them both.

Through an interpreter, she said she felt like she "was going to die right then."

The other tenants would not give their names for fear of retaliation.

1. Annapolis' Finest
I live in Annapolis and not too far from where this raid took place. Sometimes the police are good, and then there are the rest of the times.

2. Fellow Annapolitan?
This incident just makes me want to... :banghead:

I'm sorry to say I'm not familiar with that part of Annapolis, but then I live closer to the Bay Bridge.

4. I live off of Spa Road behind the Middle School.
It's an interesting place - we have Quiet Waters Park on one side and Robinwood on the other. We love Bay Ridge Liquors - you can get some really interesting wines there.

7. Oh man, I haven't been to Quiet Waters in years...
Sounds nice though. I get to deal with all the ocean-bound traffic on 50...not so nice, especially when I have to go from job #1 (office in Linthicum) to job #2 (Annapolis mall).

8. We go to Quiet Waters a fair amount
because of the dog park. I hear you about the traffic on 50 - I drive to New Carrollton metro station every day and back because I work in DC. My husband and I were at the Annapolis Mall just last night after not having been there for several months. We had wanted to eat at the Chinese restaurant there City Lights. Unfortunately it had closed. We were bummed. Now we have to find another Chinese restaurant.

3. I saw this yesterday, and read how "the officers kicked her husband in the groin"
and thought, "the officers?" I was picturing all of them lining up and taking turns kicking this poor bastard in the balls. I dunno, maybe that is in fact what happened....

6. Johnnie Cochran made his millions of this kind of stuff
He became rich suing the LAPD on behalf of clients harmed by their idiocies and mistakes.

The LAPD would get addresses wrong, and knock down the wrong house with a battering ram!
