Do you like asparagus?

If you like white asparagus, then try this sometime

Preheat oven to 425
Peel the lower half of each asparagus stalk
Wrap three stalks at a time with bacon/ham/proscuitto
Bake until done (20 minutes or so)

Drizzle with white wine, butter, and white pepper sauce.

Hold your nose when you relieve yourself...

Not long ago we had a "pot luck" here at work and someone made the recipe almost like you posted. They used prosciutto, but also had some cream cheese in there somewhere.

On edit: I call it asper-agus. There was a song in the 60s called The Jolly Green Giant by the group that sang the Snoopy songs and in it they say different vegetables throughout the song. The one says "asper-agus" and it stuck..lol. People give me a look when I say it though.

2. Near my home town in Germany is the world capitol of asparagus

a little Dorf called Schrobenhausen. They just had their springtime asparagus (Spargel in German) festival. I guess I got hooked on the stuff there.
