Changed my life...It's so strange to have this tiny animal in my care. Total focus and attention from both of us. It's awesome, and wonderful :D

He's still pretty worn out from his Vet visit yesterday and his vaccination, but he ate a ton today, and had lots of crazy playtime :D

Soon, I start knitting homemade catnip mice, one of my knitting specialties :D

54. I wish I could do that...
A few years ago, I bought three catnip plants and planted them. When I went outside the next morning, all that was left was the stems. The neighborhood cats must have had a party during the night. Now all I can grown is catmint. They roll around in it, but I know it's not the "real stuff".

2. Kittens are wonderful, aren't they?
They give you total acceptance and love. All they ask for in return is food, water, a relatively clean litter box and a scratch behind the ears now and then. Enjoy.

Sniffa came home early-ish, and got off 2 T stops early to walk 15 min to the vet yesterday, just so he could be there for the baby's vet visit. We're sooo hooked.

14. Kitties are the best ever.
If Mr. Gray & I are pissed at eachother, all it takes is the cat to enter the room and, poof, all the anger is pushed out.

Kitties could end wars. And then when they become cats, they become indifferent so there would be no wars again coz all they want to do is have their bellies rubbed and sleep after a good chow down.

My girl is about ten years old. I've drawn her and painted her portrait many times (artists have their own way of loving cats).

Almost every day I tell my wife that my cat is too good to be true. She's an angel.

So yes. I understand.

38. Happy, happy to you and your new kitten!
My fellow cat-lovers:

I have great news! 5 weeks ago, wild Mama Cat deposited her kittens in my backyard. Well, we adopted one, who insisted that he was NOT an outdoor cat, wanted to sleep in the big cat fishy pillow INDOORS, and wanted to follow my ten-year-old, so that she could be his human. We adopted him at 5 weeks; he's now 8 weeks old. We were able to fully test him today! He's 110% healthy! And, he didn't get the memo about being unfriendly. He's the sweetest, most mannerly, well-adjusted cat we ever had!

He now joins my three other indoor cats - so, we're now a 4-cat household! Two boys, two girls. Ages 6, 5, 1, and 8 weeks. They all get along!

48. Oh goodness he's adorable. And I know exactly what you mean. I found my two
cats in an attic when they were two weeks old. We were helping my husband's sister move into a new house and, evidently, the mother had given birth in the attic before the doors were put in. Then she couldn't get back in to feed them. So they were starving and sooooooooooooooooooooo tiny when we found them. There was a girl too, but at the time I was living in a little apartment (we weren't married yet) and had no money so I felt like I could only take one. That one was my Frankie. I fell head over heels in love with him the minute I laid eyes on him. But my husband kept holding the other boy and saying "But look at him! He's the runt! You have to take him!" That's how I ended up with two. And I love them both with every fiber of my being.

Luckily, I had just quit my job at the time and wasn't going to start my new job for another 2 weeks. So I was able to stay home with them and bottle feed them. It was totally like being a new mom. I carried them everywhere and even made little steps for the litter box because they were too small to climb in by themselves. They were so cute it made my chest hurt.

Beans died a few years back. He was always a runt and always had medical problems, but was so sweet and funny. The vet always used to remark that he never would've lived as long as he did if he hadn't found a family to love him like we did. I really miss him. Frankie is fourteen now and still going strong. He is my heart.

Here's Frankie:

Here's Frank and Beans. They were inseperable as you can see. Frankie cried every night for almost a year after Beans died.

50. Thanks! That's one of the things you have to accept about
having a cat or dog. They only live 10-20 years. It's so hard when they leave you but, oh, they are so wonderful when they are alive. They are 100% pure love, wrapped in fur. Humans are just too complicated to ever love that unconditionally.

Enjoy your time with your new baby. Every day he'll do something to make you laugh or clutch your chest with love. As I write this Frankie is settling himself on the arm of my chair and purring madly.
